Details: Excellent opportunity with long-term potential! Our client is seeking a Transportation Specialist responsible for maintaining fleet records to ensure the company is operating within Federal Motor Carrier Regulations.  Position is temporary and requires at least a six month commitment but has opportunity for growth for the right candidate!   Pay rate is negotiable based on experience.    Duties include:   Maintain driver qualification files and request record checks Enter daily driver logs Manually audit daily driver logs Maintain truck and trailer maintenance files Complete quarterly IFTA reporting Assist drivers with permits and construction routes Register, license, and title company vehicles Apply for and maintain IRP registrations and other states regulatory licenses Assist Safety Director with field transportation related items  Associated degree is preferred. However, equivalent work and skill experience may be substituted for formal education. Two years of experience in an Administrative Transportation/Trucking role or equivalent. Experience in a construction environment is desirable.   You must possess excellent organization skills, strong Microsoft office skills (especially Word and Excel), good data entry skills (numbers and letters), very acute attention to detail and accuracy, ability to effectively perform multiple tasks and responsibilities, ability to maintain good working relationships with vendors, employees, and customers, effective interpersonal verbal communication skills, legible handwriting, close range visual acuity, and ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of people and situations. Must be able to deal effectively with time pressures, stress, occasionally long hours, and rapidly changing priorities.
